How it works — and what to expect
Both apps work around the physical limits of a smartphone camera. They collect as many photons as possible from the scene, which means the image may refresh slowly in very low light. That is not lag — that is the physics of night vision on a phone.
Image quality depends on your specific iPhone model and on how much ambient light is available. Use the apps outdoors at night where there is at least some light to amplify, such as a starry sky or moonlight.
Do not expect a visible image in complete darkness, like a windowless room — there are no photons to amplify. And do not use the apps in daylight or bright light, where the sensor will be oversaturated and the screen will go white.

Nothing. The Apps do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, location, contacts, or any other data about you.

Camera access
The Apps need access to your iPhone's camera to do their job: amplify the live camera feed for night vision. All processing happens locally on your device, in real time. No frames, photos, or video leave your device. The Apps do not write to your Photo Library and do not save any imagery.
Children's privacy
Because no data is collected, the Apps are safe to use for all ages with respect to privacy.
Third parties
The Apps are distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain data related to your download and usage of the Apps under its own privacy policy — that is outside our control and described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Because the Apps do not collect data, any future changes will likely be clarifications rather than substantive shifts.
